Those that blog in, from or about Thanet forming a loosely knit collective or bloggers from a small geographic? location in the UK. Thanet blogging has a strong political flavour to it. Other topics include a mix of local issues.
There is little or no corporate blogging, pet blogging, youth blogging or Pro Blogging?. Social media use is low. Trackback and related technology is almost completely unknown.
According the Thanet Star? almost all Thanet bloggers use blogspot? for a host and (therefore) blogger.com as a platform.

by Isle of Thanet Gazunder legal correspondent Judith Prudence Anonymous bloggers across the island are celebrating after Thanet Life author Dr Simon Moores admitted an embarrassing defeat at the hands of internet giant Google. Conservative councillor Moores claims that Google effectively sent him away with the proverbial flea in his ear after he demanded allegedly defamatory material be removed from Blogger, which is owned by the US firm. Writing in the online journal silicon.com he says: I

By Isle of Thanet Gazunder Legal Correspondent Barry Star A top Thanet blogger has apologised to one of the UK's best known politicians. In an uncharacteristic climbdown, Corporate Presenter blog author Jeremy Jacobs has retracted a statement in which he referred to George Galloway MP as 'anti-semitic'. In a recent post entitled "The Future of Thanet" in "The Big Blog" Adem raises some interesting questions. Prime among them is what can we actually do about the decline Thanet is facing. "Most of the local blogs or the newspaper articles I read point towards an area in steep decline but surely there is something we can do? On face value it appears that there is nothing we can do, but that is me being pessemistic, and just because the council are happy for the towns to die doesn?t mean that we

You may not have realised it yet but blogs (such as this one) have the power to set the agenda and it's not just the writers that have the power. Readers have an equal power and part to play in bringing councilors to heal. This might sound amazing but it is really just common sense. There is only one kind of voter that a candidate for Thanet Council is going to worry about and it is not the ones that are already exposing a party line. Just writing you blog post and leaving it to linger is not all there is to blogging. It is core to the art, sure, but it is only a very small part of it. You blog extends far beyond the website where it all started. For Thanet Bloggers a tight knitted yet open community means that can quickly become "plugged in" to the Thanet blog scene. However, there is a world of additional support, services, tools and communities and more are springing up every week it seems. In this post I will be lookin

No, that is not a typers tick the word "no" appears twice. But what is NoNoFollow and how can is benifit Thanet, Thanet Bloggers and Thanet Business Bloggers? To answer that I must first explain what NoFollow is. It was proposed some time ago. It was suggested by some that it might be an answer to comment spam but even then many people were saying that this would not work. The reason they said (and they were right) is that comment spammers use automated processes and don't care much for the s
