Description: There are a lot of great places to take pictures in Washington DC. Dupont Circle is one of them. Museums all over the place are good for art photography. The park usually has some great flowers to get shots of city/floral mixed landscapes. And the nightlife lends itself to some amazing street photography. I?d say street photography would be what you could get the most of here. That and historical architecture. Check out this gallery of pictures from Washington DC?s Dupont Ci

Alternate title: Kicking up some dust or A miracle: I?m sure our neighbors are happier Today Goro got busy with a new chore. He learned how to cut grass. With a push-mower. GASP! He got a little instruction from SmockDaddy about the mower then went to task. How to cut grass on one leg while scratching at bug bites with the other (or maybe it?s stray pieces of cut grass). He jumped right on it proud to learn something new and help. I?m not sure what Birdie is doing there behind him.

I?m planning to take Digital Photography School?s photographic challenge: Shoot at just one focal length for the next couple of days. Choose a focal length to shoot at this weekend (or for at least one day) and don?t allow yourself to shoot at any other focal length. If you have a prime lens it?ll be easy - fit it to your camera and don?t take if off. If you have a DSLR with a zoom lens just choose one end of the focal range and resist the temptation to zoom. If you have a point and shoo

I hear that alot during a session. Parent tend to think we aren?t getting a whole lot of good shots during a session. I quietly just say, I think we are doing ok - and give a little wink. I?m not one to over react too much (unless its reeeeally bad) and I cant say I?ve had too many of those!!) However I tend to like the shots where sometimes the kids are in the backgrounds, walking through the shots, heads maybe in the way - thats kind of how life is anyway isnt it?? You sit to read a book with

I don?t highlight my own work on this blog very often?but a few people have requested it. So why not. This is part 1 of the Messy Room series I did while at school at Princeton. It?s amazing how messy some people live. I took multiple shots from each room, tranposed them together in photoshop, and broke them up again with a thin white line. Many images in this series were featured in a few galleries out East. Come back in the coming weeks for Part 2 and Part 3 of this series.

In every opportunity that comes across, you eventually grab it by its neck and will never let go. You have the desire and the drive for different career opportunities and that?s why, you are always on guard for every opportunity that comes your way and here is one right now: online photography. Well it has just started and after meeting this wonderful grandma, I have to say this shot is priceless. And yes, it might not be my BEST image, but it is by far and away the most unique and fun. Many more photos to be added very soon, so check back soon for some new work from 2008.
