Painting the view from Fort Hill in Eastham will be, for me, a lifetime pre-occupation. Each day, each hour, each season is radically different one from the other, and offers fresh opportunities for interpretation and expression. What is astonishing is that this view has not altered much in hundreds, maybe thousands of years. Thanks to the National Seashore, it will remain unchanged and, one hopes, untouched for centuries to come.

What you do see from Parker Hill (yesterday's post) is this tower, located in neighboring Roxbury, just a few blocks farther east. However, it's not easy to get there!
