Being an open site? were your input is always valid? and where the other guy's input is also valid? it seems wrong to close things off and force registration? but on the otherhand the wiki is not going to last forever under the hammer of spam.

The best comprimse seems to be to use Open ID so you don't need an account just for this site but can create a single account for many sites.
