Portals are single pages with the portal.portal name space that act as a central point of reference for a given topic. For example Geek might link to tag.open source and tag.php?.

Ideally pages that are "added" to a portal should have links to that portal added to them. The exception being tag pages for which this is automatic. In time additional features may be added to help make this easier.
